EMILY IZEN ROW | THE PEGWELLS | FLORENCE ROSE BLOOMFIELD. An evening of live folk & experimental music to celebrate the Lughnasadh. Marking the beginning of the harvest and the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox.

After years of performing together in Australia, indie-folk artists Laura Lucas and Sianon are bringing their introspective songwriting and dreamy vocals to the UK on their Meridian Tour. Join us for a cosy evening of reflective storytelling and sombre sounds.

+ ELLIE FINNERTY. Accompanied by live strings, Hannah marks the release of her EP Sycamore with her first hometown headline after selling out in London earlier this year! This evening will be one of folk-pop with a hint of theatre, featuring Hannah's fast-moving melodic storytelling.

+ CHLOE HARMAN + GRIMRITE. Barren Sea is an Amsterdam-based alt rock band blending grunge, slowcore and shoegaze into a sound that moves between abrasion and tenderness. Their sound shifts between raw and expansive, balancing distortion and melody with a sense of intimacy that lingers long after the last note.

A native of the Arizona desert now based in Nashville, Adam Simons is a singer-songwriter born in the wrong decade. Raised on the sounds of the 1970s, Simons has found a niche rooted in honest storytelling, organic instrumentation, and the spirit of musical eras past.

The next year will see Elephant Kind introduced to a totally new audience, with a whole new country of fans to engage with. As one of Indonesia's definitive alternative outfits they're also a go-to support for huge international talent, touring with the likes of The XX and Franz Ferdinand.

Drawing from bluegrass and roots textures while keeping the sharp pop melodies that have always defined his songwriting. Fresh off a run of UK dates opening for CMAT and continuing to build a devoted international fanbase, Hagood is gearing up for a major 2026 chapter.

+ Lal Tuna. FORM Presents; Maripool is the solo project of Lisbon-born, London-based songwriter Natacha Simões, crafting intimate, guitar-driven indie rock that blends bedroom pop, shoegaze and midwest emo influences.

'With shades of Joanna Newsom's dynamic originality, Elanor Moss has a stark subtlety that bowls you over in its intensity.' - CLASH. Off the back of tours with the likes of Foxwarren (Andy Shauf), Flyte, and Christian Lee Hutson, Elanor Moss releases debut album The Knife, The Needle via Merge Records.

Through an intimate and devastatingly personal style of storytelling, the new album reflects upon the modern tension between togetherness and alienation & the chaos of human nature with radical acceptance and compassion.

Unbound by genre limitations, Will Samson has spent over a decade exploring the spaces between electronic, folk and ambient sounds focused on immersive listening and analogue recording techniques. Noah has opened for an impressive group of artists including Ed Sheeran, Ben Rector, Corey Smith, Sister Hazel, Matt Nathanson, Dwight Yoakam and has had the rare privilege of opening 12 shows for the legendary Willie Nelson! Chris Stapleton's country/rock grit with the authenticity of Jason Isbell.

Track Dogs are an international band formed in 2006 in Madrid with a name deriving from the dark subterranean  world of the New York subway system. They are an eclectic line up of acoustic guitar, electric base, trumpet,  cajon and stunning four-part vocal harmonies. 

Formerly one half of folk-pop duo Hudson Taylor (30 million Spotify streams, a #1 Irish album, stages with The Rolling Stones, Hozier, and George Ezra), Harry is now forging a solo path rooted in honest, unguarded songwriting.

+ 5DN + DONKEE. Design Fault are an art rock band formed in Bournemouth in January 2025. The trio have crafted a distinctive sound that draws from noise rock, jazz fusion, post-punk and krautrock. Their sound paired with their relentless energy on stage make for unforgettable live performances.

Tom McLachlan is a UK-based singer-songwriter whose songs pair jazz-tinged guitar with folk storytelling and vivid imagery. His music blends the smoky grit of Tom Waits with the haunting vulnerability of Jeff Buckley.

+ SAIRIE + SNOWY MOUNTAIN. The rising phenomenon from Sweden opens the door to their mysterious world of shadows and light. In a beautifully raw, psychedelic universe, intertwined by the sounds of earthy alternative slowrock and melancholic folk.

ELI is a London singer-songwriter whose voice has been stopping strangers in their tracks since a piano session of a song called 15 And Alive at St. Pancras went viral and never really stopped. Dork Mode RAW is the album. It arrives with a full band at TFR this August.

Nebraska-based singer-songwriter whose music blends intimate storytelling, poetic lyricism, and warm acoustic arrangements. With over 60 million Spotify streams, releases on Fantasy Records, and performances at major festivals including Newport Folk Festival, she has built a devoted global following.

TABI GERVIS + LUNAR JUNE + AMY PALMER + CHANDNI Solstice Sounds is a live music event celebrating women in music. Join us for an inspiring night of talent, community, and energy, with special guest Shannon Marie.

My Girl the River bring their genre blending sound on the road along with a full band. Americana, roots, singer-songwriter, with a dash of folk, they will be performing new songs off their 4th album, Manifest Good Things.

MAAR's music is characterised by three-part vocal harmonies, intimate lyrics, and acoustic instrumentation. At the heart of their sound is the interplay of all three members' voices.

William Jack redefines the cello possibilities, bringing the instrument into exciting new territories. He is best known for incorporating his jazz guitar background into an unconventional style of cello playing, with a passion for breaking boundaries between genres and cultures.

Gordi has built a devoted following on the strength of her songwriting alone - sparse, precise, and quietly devastating. She has performed alongside Bon Iver, The National, and Sam Smith, and collaborated with Troye Sivan and Julien Baker.

Tallulah Rendall’s seventh album, HUMAN, is a raw and cinematic exploration of what it means to live with an open heart in a world that often rewards disconnection. Blending alt-pop, electronic textures and organic instrumentation.

+ MOOKIE + MIA NICHOLLS. Elfi is a Dutch singer-songwriter based in London, blending glittery pop with honest storytelling and emotionally charged lyrics. Her music explores love, heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery.

+ SARAH GOWER. With her new single ‘As Friends’ out on all platforms, Ellie Valentine comes to The Folklore rooms for her first Brighton Headline. With her, she brings upbeat Indie-Pop songs that will have you singing along no matter what!

+ VODKA TERRY. This new music marks a shift toward Americana and blues influences, with a focus on personal reflections and a more mature, stripped-down sound. Marina draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine,Neil Young and Jeff Buckley.

+ EDIE RAE. Born in Oakland and based in Phoenix, KJADE is the artistic alias of ​​Kendall Jade Thompson. Jade, who uses any pronouns, crafts meticulous raps over fluttering, jazzy beats.

Influenced by the likes of Big Thief, Nick Drake and Dove Ellis this five-piece band layers intricate guitars, strings and lap steel. This will be the bands debut run of shows together playing new and old songs with a whole new feel.

+ DARREN HANLON. Kankawa Nagarra has had an extraordinary musical career even though she didn’t own her own guitar until she was 40. In 2024 at the age of 78, won the 20th Australian Music Prize for her album Wirlmarni, beating acts like Nick Cave and Amyl and the Sniffers.

Marlon Bianco is back at Folklore Room with his Clones for a night of Psychedelic Synths based Jazz tailor made for hazy summer nights, supported by Brighton based, up and and coming multi instrumentalist Paolo Cateni.

Lucca Mae is taking the UK by storm, one gig at a time. A standout talent on the burgeoning London Soul/Blues circuit. Mae channels the raw soul of Sam Cooke, Paulo Nutini and the timeless spirit of Amy Winehouse. A trail of sold-out shows across the UK, Australia, Canada and Sweden

Scott Lavene is a British singer-songwriter known for gritty, darkly comic storytelling. Blending post-punk and indie rock, his spoken-word style explores addiction, heartbreak, and small-town life with raw honesty and vivid character sketches.

Siri Neel is a Danish born former Brighton-based artist and songwriter making honest, uncompromising pop with retro flair. Blending British edge with Scandinavian melancholy, her music moves between intimacy and power, full of quirkiness and character.

Formed in 2009, they gained global recognition with their 2012 debut album Blind Sighted Faith, toured extensively in the US and UK supporting major acts like Mumford & Sons, and appeared on Jay Leno, building a loyal fanbase with anthemic songs like "I Could Be A King" and "Light Up the Sky"

Growing up in a musical family in Húsavík, he began releasing raw, early demos that led to his
breakout single, "Forest Fires," which is now streamed over 90 million times. His music draws from influences such as Bon Iver and Adrianne Lenker, blending gentle folk, ambient textures, and emotional honesty.

Hailed by Rolling Stone for his "astonishing mastery of his craft", Ed Blunt writes story songs that will both make you laugh and gently break your heart. Compared to James Taylor, Paul Simon and The Divine Comedy, he has toured across the UK and Europe, most recently supporting David Ford.

Rooted in country, folk, soul and rock ‘n’ roll, SJ’s music blends emotionally honest songwriting with a powerhouse voice that has drawn comparisons to Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin. Known for her raw energy and magnetic stage presence, she has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling live performers.

Slow Leaves is the project of Winnipeg's Grant Davidson. Awarded Western Canadian Music Awards Songwriter of the Year, his folk and psych-rock inclinations though rooted in fingerpicking songwriter of the past, roam freely in today's post-genre landscape.
