Eight Miles High presents a night of live music at the Folklore Rooms, with liquid visuals spinning, a diverse mix of acts, plus psychedelic sounds in-between!

Acclaimed Canadian songwriter Dana Sipos coaxes silkworms out of their cocoons and spins them into song. Described as "slightly strange and completely mesmerising" (Gold Flake Paint UK), Sipos sets the stage for a deeply moving performance with earthen imagery and spiralling vocals.

Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS or WesternAF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music. Harking back to JimmieRodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson he keeps the spirit of countrymusic alive.

Molly Walsh is a young singer-songwriter writing indie folk songs combining powerful vocals and moving lyrics that encapsulate the complexity of teenage life in an original and honest way. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Julia Jacklin and Nick Drake.

His eighth album, Points of Origin, comes out March 7th on Ruination Records (USA) and Bella Union (worldwide). His previous albums received critical acclaim from Sir Elton John and Alexis Petridis (The Guardian), as well as journalists at Pitchfork, Mojo, and Uncut, among others.

Indie rock singer-songwriter Katie Malco comes to TFR as part of her UK Tour. Recent tour history includes Julien Baker, SOAK, Laura Stevenson + More. Gripping and emotive, Malco is a must see.

Lily Seabird is a perceptive songwriter who can channel moments when everything feels raw and overwhelming into something healing and galvanizing. With Alas, she confronts grief with palpable clarity on tracks that careen from delicate folk to blistering indie rock.

Australian indie-folk artist Rowena Wise returns to Europe and the UK this September, following the release of her critically acclaimed 2024 album, 'Senseless Acts of Beauty'. Hailed by The Clash as "carefully etched indie folk"; Wise's sound earned her a coveted Australian Music Prize shortlist nomination.

Having invaded venues from The Royal Albert Hall (on multiple occasions), Wembley Arena supporting The Who, playing alongside Elton John, appearing in The British Rock Symphony Australia and UK tours alongside Roger Daltrey and Paul Rogers, NTB come to TFR for a special intimate performance.

Lead singer and co-writer with No1 chart act Nizlopi (best known for the “JCB Song”) Luke is now a solo artist, who’s 2022 album ‘Ecstatic Bird In The Burning’ debuted at No12 in the UK and US folk charts and received rave reviews.

The universality of pop music can mean different things to different people. For Berlin native musician and producer Albertine Sarges it’s a vessel for self-exploration and growth. Displaying an insatiable mix of avant-garde pop, weird folk and magical flute.

Shotgun Jimmie is a singer-songwriter/one-person-band based in Manitoba, Canada. He’s been touring regularly and releasing records on Toronto’s You’ve Changed Records since 2009. Jimmie cut his rock & roll teeth in the early 2000’s, as part of the seminal Canadian indie outfit Shotgun and Jaybird.

A powerful folk duo that delivers a compelling performance with heart and raw energy. Although highly influenced by their Canadian roots, Lisa and Amy are based out of nowhere and everywhere.
They artfully juggle fiddle, banjo, guitar and mandolin and traditional dance and foot percussion into their performance.

Jimmy Gnecco is the iconic voice, presence and multi-instrumentalist behind the the US band OURS, with whom he has released several albums over the last years (Distorted Lullabies in 2001, Precious in 2002, Mercy in 2008, Ballet The Boxer in 2013, New Age Heroine in 2024, Rocket’s Red Glare in 2025).

MOMO. is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist influenced by a lifetime of living in Brazil, Angola, the US, Spain, Portugal, and currently the UK.

Raised in Oxfordshire on a soundtrack spanning the likes of Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Candi Staton and Carole King. Whilst these influences can be found in her music, Abi’s songwriting and vocals are also heavily influenced by her early love for the vocal powerhouses and irresistible hooks of modern pop music.

Bringing together witty social commentary with a distinctive songwriting approach that is very much their own, Parliamo are one of Scotland’s most exciting young prospects. The band have since seen praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio Scotland, Radio X, KEXP and more.

A rich and meticulously put together debut, the album received rave reviews from the likes of The Sunday Times, Clash and The Line of Best Fit. Tracks from the album regularly featured on BBC 6 Music, with support coming from Guy Garvey and Radcliffe & Maconie.

Holly Carter is an award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Bristol, UK. Two-time recipient of ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ at the Americana UK awards (2023 & 2024) she is widely recognised as an exceptional fingerstyle guitarist and one of the UK’s only professional female pedal steel players.

A celebration of Mirepoix's latest release of their debut EP 'Limbo'. As they perform a special, intimate performance alongside local friends, Nagasaki Dog & M.Woodroe.

2025 sees the release of Lucy Mellenfield’s highly anticipated debut album, Tell The Water, She Will Listen. She embarks on her pre-release tour this summer. The songs explore her love of jazz, folk, and alternative genres, interweaving improvisation and folk melodies, immersive soundscapes and vivid lyric writing.

Gemma is writing for her second album. Working with producers EAMES, Gareth Ashton (The Verve, Rolling Stones, Tina Turner) and Mike Tournier (of dance legends Fluke). Political convictions in an emotionally direct and often humorous way.

Steve Pilgrim is an artist and musician with over 20 years global touring experience. Starting out as a drummer with Liverpool 'Bandwagon' band The Stands (alongside bands like The Coral and The Zutons), Steve went on to play with John Power and Cast.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary luminaries like Andy Shauf and Whitney, while paying homage to timeless icons such as Nick Drake and John Martyn, Tamasene's sound is a captivating blend of the past and the present.

And yes, he will be performing some of his fathers greatest tracks!
He will be accompanied by the Nashville musician M.R. PAIGE from the band Dee Oh Gee.

2025 sees Tom give us a collection of early songs, produced by The Clash legend Mick Jones and Dirty White. In March he performed on BBC One's Sunday Morning Live, pushing Tom to become a household name even further.
